É aí que se localiza o Himalaya, uma cadeia de montanhas do centro-sul da Ásia, que se estende por 2.400 km através do noroeste do Paquistão, Kashmir, nordeste da Índia, sudeste do Tibet, Nepal, Sikkim e Butão. A mais alta elevação é o Monte Everest (8.824 metros). Também chamada de Montanhas do Himalaya.
